I find it nuts that in the second ½ of your life you get barraged with articles and subscription invites, and advertisements for ways to live longer…but what if we had started all this 30 years sooner??!!
I am reminding us all that there are simple ways to live stronger and enjoy our Dynamic Life for years to come.
There are 15 Key areas we will mention over the next few weeks but today we are beginning with the area that is often overlooked, the BRAIN.
There are a myriad of studies and endless research that has been done in recent years and most of this will serve as a reminder…
The idea is to find a couple of things to take away in each of the categories and implement it to live longer and stronger.
IDEAS FOR BOOSTING YOUR BRAIN:
Exercise! Move more. If you find this tough to put into your daily routine make exercise dates with various friends. Hiking, biking, walking, jogging, yoga, Pilates with a buddy will fire off those brain synapses and keep your brain active.
Salad daily! Water content, high fiber, multi -vitamin. This will heighten your brain power and slow its decline.
Have a super berry dessert instead of ice cream and cake. Blueberries, blackberries and acai berries fight inflammation and lower your risk of cardiovascular disease.
Make your afternoon lift green tea. Did you know that sweet drinks are linked to Alzheimer’s? Switch to have green tea instead and keep your brain alert.
Play games. Join a book club. When you do, you are 29% less likely to develop dementia. It’s like putting your brain in the gym.
Try something new! Like I mentioned last week…take a risk. Try a new restaurant, make a new recipe, go somewhere new for a vacation. Venture out to new horizons.
